RESULTS OF ACTIVITY OF THE COMPANY FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS (2000-2008):
- increment of reserves of coal, chromites, copper, gold, platinum metals, sand, sand-gravel mixture, ground waters etc.;
- detail exploration of coal of the mine field Vorgashorskaya 4 has been completed; explored and re-estimated reserves of high quality coal - 410,3 mln t for В+С1 categories 410,3 mln t were approved by RF State Reserves Committee with a high grade;
- prospect evaluation of one of the mine fields (5) of Seyda coal deposit has been completed, which approved reserves for target thick bed for С1+С2 categories made 433,1 mln. t; preliminary evaluation of the neighboring coal mine field (8) - 418,2 mln t for С1+С2 categories;
-in 2008 field prospecting works and cameral processing for Syryaga coal area of the Pechora basin were completed and resulted in two promising sites for efficient coking coal production by the underground (34,9 mln t of В+С1 coal) and open (about 6,7 mln t of В+С1 coal) methods, increment of probable Р1 reserves up to 70 mln t of coal;
-evaluation of power-generating coal reserves of mine field Pechorskaya of Vorkuta deposit in the volume of 155 ml t;
- prospecting evaluation of Parnok ferrum-manganeze deposit in Peripolar Urals has been completed with reserves about 24 mln t of manganese ores; reserves of the central part of the deposit (Magnitny –1) were explored to commercial categories (1642,1 thous. t of oxide and carbonate manganese ores), this created a raw base for medium scale ferrous mine in the Republic;
-in the Kozhym placer in the last years of 20th century highly promising gold shows were discovered in the Alkesvozh site; at one of them (Chudnoe) the commercial evaluation of their scale and quality was performed;
-complex (engineering-hydrogeological, engineering-geodesic and hydrological searches including searches for the sources of water supply and ground building materials) in the extent of 445 km of pipeline Bovanenkovo-Ukhta
-in the south of Komi Republic quartz sand deposit Chernourka-1 was discovered with reserves 9792 thous. t, suitable for high grade glass (ВС-050-1);
- prospecting-exploration works for underground waters for drinking water supply for cities, villages and plants of a number of districts of the Republic were performed;
- geological survey and study of 1: 200000 scale covered about 60 thous. sq. km. of the territory of the Republic;
- regional ecogeochemical works have been completed (together with organizations from Finland, Norway and plants of North-Western FD of Russia) by the international project “Ecogeochemistry of the Barents region” resulted in published “Geochemical Atlas of the Eastern Barents Region” (Elsevier, Amsterdam, 2004);
-using great factual material the creation and publishing of geoecological map of Komi Republic and eastern part of the Nenets AD of 1:1000000 scale, accompanied by the monography “Ecogeology of Komi Republic and eastern part of Nenets Autonomous District”, and the set of detail geoecological engineering and hydrogeological maps of Syktyvkar and Vorkuta industrial areas.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF PREDECESSORS:
- creating of reliable raw base of Pechora coal basin and industrial centers of Vorkuta and Inta;
-discovery and exploration of commercial reserves of the Kozhym gold placer, discovery, exploration and start of commercial development of the Khoyla barite deposit;
- completion of exploration of the Middle and South Timan bauxite deposits;
- systematic prospecting and valuating works for adjustment of reserves potential of Komi Republic for coal, gold, diamonds, bauxites, chromite and manganese, copper, complex ores, rare metals, refractories, kaolinites, glass sands etc.;
- high quality medium and large scale geological mapping of Komi Republic and eastern part of Nenets autonomous district and reliable reserves evaluation of mineral potential of the region;
-monitoring of geologic environment and interior condition, geoecological and engineering-geological study of Komi Republic and Nenets AD;
- engineering-geological investigations along the projected pipeline Yamal-Center on the territory of Yamal-Nenets AD and Komi Republic;
-organization and carrying out of regime observations of ground waters and permafrost rocks in European North-East by long-term, more than 40 years, observations;
- predictive works to investigate hydrogeological, engineering-geological conditions together with search for building material in the area of Saremboy, Khasyrey, Vosey, Bagan and other oil deposits of the Timan-Pechora province.
